Here we go …

Fresh blades are all about a new beginning, a fresh start and a delicate new thing that needs nurturing and looking after to grow and develop into something amazing. It also refers to a gleaming new scalpel blade that a surgeon asks for just before making that initial incision to do something risky while feeling apprehensive but all with the intention of improving and helping.

That’s why I think it’s an apt title for the blog’s first post as I launch this new project and side hustle. This blog will complement the YouTube Channel that is also being launched and through them I aim to pass on what I know and what has worked for me in the last two decades to help medical students and young doctors succeed on the same road that I was on myself.

This blog’s beat includes:

• Surgery at undergraduate and trainee level

• Exams and OSCE tips

• Career advice and mentoring

• Finance and financial literacy

• Tech and the journey of starting a YouTube Channel and blog
